I want to say thanks for your leadership and teaching in the PMTR. You are doing a great job. It's funny; you'd think this stuff would sink in, yet everyday, when I get a chance to listen to you, it seems like I learn new stuff. Some is repetitive and the basic material is similar to things you've said before. Yet, when you discuss it in relation to individual stock chart patterns, it seems to have more relevance and I learn something new. I have found that I am getting better at recognizing patterns all the time. Now if I can just get my plan right, and develop the discipline and consistency to follow it, maybe I'll begin making money.

I've been in the room with you for the last month and I gotta tell you, you've helped me overcome some real issues I've been struggling with for years. The primary issue has been playing early and playing gaps for the big gains that come early. Hit several milestones this week.

Highest intra day gains ever in 5 years of trading came yesterday and today (over a dollar each day). Had gains of over .40 in the first 20 minutes at least once each day this week; another first. You've also helped me look at gaps in a different way by explaining the psychology. You got me trading much earlier and more aggressively, successfully. Two months ago, I had never scanned pre-open gaps. Now it is my primary pre-market activity.

My overall average daily gain has gone from .10 or less to the mid .30’s in just 2 weeks and that is trending higher as I get more comfortable with the open and find higher quality setups via TPM1. Average daily loss is around .05 - .10. The average gain is clearly because of overcoming the fear of playing the open. My goal is to be done trading by mid day, and you have brought me much closer to that goal. I took TPM 1 last month, and look forward to taking your gap class later this year in a combo package with TPM 2, if available.

I do not know how you do it all day. Day after day with all that energy. I have only been in the PMTR for a couple weeks and I have to say, thanks! I'm looking forward to your Gap Seminar. I have the Manual and I will go through about half of it tonight.

I have been trading since 1998 and I haven't put things together until I took the TMP1 and Greg'S TMP2. I am signed up for the Masters Program. I am an old guy (55) and I have two jobs (full time). The one where I am tonight, I want to retire from and trade for a living. I am so close with the right tools and Organization. All I need is more practice and experience. You guys have it all. Nobody teaches this stuff like you guys do.

Your lectures and emphasis on a written trading plan (to save me from the idiot within), have proven invaluable and will most likely prove to be the turning point in my trading career. I joined Pristine’s Educational Trading Room late last year but have just recently begun an attempt at trading full time. I actually was in your room for about 2 months back in 2001. I had 6 weeks off work then. Of course back then I thought that would be ample time to master everything there was to know! While obviously it didn't work out as I expected, it was a great learning experience and I always knew I would give it another try. This time I have 6 months off work and more financial resources behind me.

I feel like a light bulb has gone off in the last couple of weeks. I am starting to get the big picture. Not sure but (insert sarcasm here) it might have something to do with taking Trading The Pristine Method – Part I and your DVDs! They were both great. I would highly recommend others doing the Home Study Version of TPM I a few weeks later after the live course. I have had a written plan now for a few weeks (still evolving daily) and I am getting close to sticking to it 100% of the time (I know, I know "Just do it".) By the way I lectured myself for trading Monday (after TPM1) and purposely did not trade on Tuesday. That turned out to be very enlightening. Not just because I could focus completely on learning but it was very empowering knowing that I could actually go a whole day without trading. I was a little disappointed to learn that you can't make money when you don't trade but I learned you can't lose it either! (More sarcasm.)

Anyway what I really wanted to do was to thank you for your daily guidance. I get so much from the room. All the necessary tools are there for the taking for anyone who puts an effort into it. I also realize we should not be in the room just to be "entertained" (you touched on this a couple days ago). However the room does provide social interaction. This is important to me and I suspect to others who come from a "regular" job and are used to being around people during the day. That is my roundabout way of saying I enjoy your sense of humor and the general atmosphere of the room. I can't imagine not having the room to take part in even once I am a "Master Trader".

I really appreciate the great job you do in the PMTR, you both put a lot into it and provide a tremendous value for the active trader. I've been "in the zone" since taking TPM II last year. For January I put up a 6:1 win loss ratio with the average gain three times larger then the average loss. These are the best numbers I've ever put up and I owe it to Pristine and some persistent work on my part. So far I've only had one losing day this year. Achieving that level of consistency didn't come over night and I don't think I would have ever done that without keeping good records of every trade.

I've made enough in these past 3 weeks to pay for the classes, the lab and the expenses. After next week, I'm getting ready to sign up for TMP2 and Market Internals in Las Vegas.

I have never been more impressed with a teaching methodology and a group as much as I am with Pristine. You are interested in Educating people and helping them succeed, not just selling them on the "next level". And you know what? That automatically sells a person on going to the next level.

Thanks so much... This is my 2nd "official" week with Pristine after finishing Trading the Pristine Method® Part 1. Last week I just missed my weekly goal by a small amount and this week I made it with a day and a half to spare.... For me that's a real accomplishment.

I can not say enough about the professionalism and discipline that you display in the chat room, it is such a change from what I was used to at [ former service ]. I just wish that I had found Pristine long ago before the "bump".

I know I still have much to re-learn and many old habits to break and prepared to put in the work to make that happen. But I know that with help from Pristine and "class" people like you (and of course others that I have yet to meet), I have made the right choice.

Just wanted to send you a quick message. I sure appreciate your guidance in the Pristine Method® Trading Room. As you know, I am relatively new to the room, and am adjusting to the whole system. While I've been trading for a decent amount of time --- 3 years --- I find that I am making leaps and bounds progress in terms of having a plan and following it. Today, I actually felt relaxed during the trading day. Part of it comes from having had really good reasons to have stocks on my watch list in the first place. Another part has been having very clear profit objectives (for example, knowing that I may be trading more with the swing time frame in mind vs. intraday as many of the plays are in the room).

Obviously, I still have a lot to learn, but I am seeing tangible progress (in my ability to follow a plan and the results of the trades themselves). Another thing I really appreciate is your teaching style--straighforward, direct, clear. It helps maintain a nice, even temperament in the room. In a setting where emotions can get a little choppy, that even temperament is especially helpful. I am attending a Seminar at the beginning of Dec. in Irvine... between now and then I am formulating and solidifying my trading plan and trying to build a good foundation in the Pristine Method®. Thanks for your patience while I am going through the process:)

I (as I know Pristine followers did) picked up some long swings over the past couple of weeks. This morning my eyes got real big (so to speak) on the gap opening that the major indices had following their recent rallies to either close their WTC gaps (DJIA) or ram into their declining 50 MAs following lengthy runs (SPX, NDX). Using the Pristine training, nicely reinforced by you when I was in your chat room, I blew out those swings not too long after the opening to lock in profits. I had no idea what news items may have been floating around, but just acted and then went to the office. At the end of the day the business news reported a variety of "reasons" for the selloff, but the training had me out with profits. Thanks to you and Pristine for the education.

I've recently started re-reading Tools & Tactics. Repetition helps get the concepts down.

Wow, I have really enjoyed the Pristine Method® Trading Room. You and and all do such a great job!!! Your lectures are fabulous. I have read Tharp's book and understood the concept of share size and expectancy rates but the sharpe calculations really pulls it all together for me. I am headed down the right path.

I want to thank you so much for all the wisdom you are sharing with us. A person can read all about baseball but until you have been in the batters box and hit or missed a ball, you will never know what baseball is all about. I wanted to express my sincere gratitude once again. You will never know what your daily teaching and coaching is doing for me. I felt very much like a failure before I joined the Pristine Method® Trading Room. That which came so easy to me for a year, was suddenly turning into daily hardships and failures. Just wanted to give you a quick update on my progress as a trader, much of which I credit to you. The rest I credit to my ears for listening, my brain for remembering, and my fingers for executing.

I feel almost cosmically fortunate to have stumbled into Pristine. I literally did a keyword search under "daytrading" and that's how I eventually ended up in your room. At that time, I was pretty much in a state of desperation. I had given up my full time career, confident that I could do well as a trader because "I knew a lot about the stock market." Needless to say, I was not doing well and pretty depressed. I was starting to believe what before I could not fathom -- that a college educated, intelligent person could ruin his life trading. I was going to fail.

From that time (October) to now, I am not only a completely different trader, I am a different person. With the Pristine Method® Trading Room, I started from scratch. I de-programmed then re-programmed myself to start seeing the market through the eyes of a master trader -- calm (patient), calculating, responsive. These are the characteristics in you that I most admire.

When I typed in the room today, "Two overnight approvals.... this is the best day of my life!" I was only half kidding. I'm not naive or arrogant enough to proclaim my "arrival" but I can now say with confidence that each trading day, I am more likely to be profitable than not. The set-ups I find have been dismissed by you less and less frequently each week. Guess what........... the profits have been following.

Attending the 3-day seminar in Irvine really helped to solidify things for me too. I really like the guerilla style of trading that I can do with lighter shares and less concern over every bump and tick in the futures. When I came back from the seminar, I had one of my most profitable weeks trading. The funniest part was that I was only doing guerilla trades, and only using 100 share lots........ just to beta test. I made twelve profitable trades that week, two break evens, zero losers. Seriously, not one loser. My profit was more than $2300 after commissions.

Now I am back to participating in all trade types. Having the longer term perspective that comes through sitting through the guerilla trades and letting them play out has actually made me a better scalper as well, especially when it comes to maximizing the back half of trades.

Let me start by saying how much I have enjoyed your trading room. When learning to fly, its always nice to have the flight instructor sitting next to you - fewer crash landings that way. I wanted to thank you for your efforts in the trading room. A week or so ago, I tried the free trial on the final Friday and played PALM (one of your suggestions late in the day) which worked wonderfully. I was excited by the luxury of having extra eyes searching for setups that I wouldn't find or would just miss (like PALM, which I would have never spotted). That was enough to get me to subscribe, but I was happily surprised to find that the real benefit of this room is seeing your discipline in action. I've been trading full time for almost a year and have been exposed to several great traders, but I've never witnessed the kind of discipline you display. It is very refreshing to see.

All things considered, I have had my best week ever. I was comfortable, organized and, most importantly, followed my plan. I did a total of 13 trades (8 of yours, 7 mine) and had a batting average of 61.5%. My sharpe ratio was a little low (1.6), but a couple of my winners were on smaller stocks where the point profit was not high yet I stayed in the play to the target. I still know that I need to work on it though!

My highlights were an ELNK 5 min. short play on 4/11 where I targeted the 200 on 15, and SBUX today where I netted 11/16. It set up a 5 min PSS into resistance and then broke down a little 2 min. base. I covered 1/2 on a 2 min PBS and then raised stop to breakeven. As it fell apart for the second time, I used a trailing stop all the way down and missed the bottom (around 38) by just 20 or so cents. I saw the same thing you did when you covered all your shorts, so I am really feeling that I am getting the hang of things (although its a little at a time)!!

Unfortunately, I did not participate in your two big plays on Wednesday, but they were great to see nonetheless. One was a timing rule violation of mine and the other I just missed. Still not doing the larger share size (my average this week was 300) but I made 2.25 points. More importantly, my worse day was breakeven! Felt the market was real tough this week with very few of my favorite plays & stock picks so I am very pleased! Sorry this e-mail got so long. I thank you so VERY, VERY much for everything!

I have been trading and following the market now for the past 3 years with the intent to do this full time. I made some money over the past three years but like many new market players of this era, I gave it all back and then a bunch more over the past 9 months. Well after all this and figuring I have learned everyway of how to lose I decided to take on this profession fulltime in January 2001. I have learned many of the pristine strategies and this has helped tremendously but since entering this room I have stopped losing and for the past 8 weeks, consistently bringing home points. I contribute this to you your teachings and being able to listening to your rational on the various trades. I believe now for the first time that I will last to finally reap some of the rewards in this extremely challenging but rewarding career.

Just wanted to send a quick acknowledgement and thank you for the service you provide in the Pristine Method® Trading Room. I have been monitoring (and lightly participating) since inception. I am now a subscriber to the Gold package, but most often find myself trading with and listening to your room. Two weeks under your tutelage has helped clarify and bring to life many of the concepts I have been studying for the past six months. The lesson most valuable to me has been the necessity to stay out of the market when the risk to reward is not favorable. In the past I have definitely thought, "I must be missing opportunities" and consequently made poor trades. It is very calming to have an experienced trader confirm that the market is unfavorable and better left alone at certain times.

So far, I love your new 'real-time trading room'. For someone like me, a market 'newbie', looking over the shoulder of experienced traders is VERY educational. To this point, I have just a basic, basic framework of knowledge, but it looks as if this framework is going to be augmented greatly by this new service.

I'm writing to tell you how very much I appreciate the quality of your instruction in the Pristine Method® Trading Room, particularly last Friday in your handling of the ATML transaction. The process was smooth and calm with insights and advice every step of the way. As a beginning trader there is so much to learn--trading software, order execution, buy setups, market indicators, etc. etc..... you know, I don't have to repeat it. I am learning with only one monitor so switching back and forth between several open windows combined with all of learning is confusing so having each trade dealt with in the manner of ATML is very calming and helps to build confidence. The genuine care you show in wanting to help each and every trader is a quality in an educator that is seen only occasionally. Each and every question is answered in a calm orderly manner, not a small accomplishment in the hectic atmosphere of day trading with questions firing at you at the rate of about one a minute. I feel very privileged to have you as a teacher.
