Step-by-Step: Pristine Chat Startup

This document shows example startup screens for Pristine Chat.

Startup

1. Start Pristine Chat. Double-click the Pristine Chat icon on your desktop (recommended).
   
   

   Or ... Open your Windows Start menu, select Programs, select 1stWorks Corporation, select Pristine Chat, and click Pristine Chat.

   Note: Pristine Chat starts automatically at the end of the Registration Wizard. Also, You can set Pristine Chat to start automatically when Windows starts.

2. Connect to the Pristine Chat Network.

   Wait while Pristine Chat goes online (connects to the Pristine Chat server). When Pristine Chat is online, then you can connect to your target.

   Am I online yet?

   Look at the Pristine Chat icon in the lower right corner of your Windows taskbar near the time. It is a headset. When the earphones turn red and blue, Pristine Chat is online. When the earphones are white, it is offline.

   It may take time for Pristine Chat to go online, so please wait. If Pristine Chat never goes online, contact Pristine Support at 1-800-340-6477.
   
   

Join a Room

To Join a Room:

1. Logon to the Pristine Chat website at https://www.pristine.com/services/chat/
   
   
2. A list of all available Pristine Real-Time Chat Rooms will be made available. Links will be active for all chat rooms that are available for the logged on user.
   
   
3. The installed version of the Pristine Chat allows clients to be in multiple rooms at the same time. To accomplish this, just click on the available links available to you and multiple Pristine Chat windows will open (one for each selected chat room).
